What we do with what you love
CANON is a permanent record of your taste. That only works if you can see exactly what happens to it. No marketing language on this page — just what the software does.
What does the AI actually read?
Only what you have claimed: your items, your ratings and rankings, the categories you use, and the Taste DNA derived from them. It does not read your email, your contacts, or anything you have not put in your Canon.
Is my Canon used to train AI models?
No. Your Canon is never sold, and it is never used as training data for any model. It is sent to the model provider only to generate a result you asked for, in that moment.
Who can see what I claim?
You choose per item. Favorites support public, friends-only, and private visibility, and private items stay out of every public surface — profiles, embeds, feeds, and the public API.
Can I take my data out?
Yes. Account data is exportable at any time from your account settings, and deletion removes your Canon along with it.
The AI allowance, precisely
A free account includes 3 AI generations in total. That is a lifetime allowance, not a monthly one — we state it plainly because running these models costs real money and we would rather be honest about the limit than quietly degrade the result.
Cached results never consume an allowance. If your Canon has not changed, asking the same question again is free.
CANON Pro removes the lifetime cap. Everything that does not call a model — your Canon, your profile, rankings, embeds, and the public surfaces — is free and stays free.
How sign-in works today
We are mid-migration to a single studio identity, and we would rather say so than imply it is finished. Web sign-in uses Obelisk Passport, web account creation uses Supabase email/password, and mobile uses Supabase email/password. Convergence is incomplete.
Where CANON is in its life
CANON is in private beta. It is deployed and real, but it is not finished, and we do not describe it as launched. This page is generated from revision S273 of the source that also produces our machine-readable agent surfaces, so the two cannot disagree.
Free accounts share three lifetime AI generations across every paid AI tool. Cached and read-only results do not use a credit; CANON Pro unlocks ongoing AI generation.
